A Hot Spot refers to a pre-defined range of pixel coordinates within an image which when clicked indicates a correct answer. The Hotspot question allows the participants to indicate the answer by clicking a specific area of an image.
Below are the steps to create a Hotspot question:
Go to Editor > Questions and Quizzes > Question Bank. Click on the 'Add New Question' button at the top right corner.
On the 'Create new Question' page, select 'Question Type' = Hotspot.

Upload the image that you want the participants to click on. Do note that the maximum size of the image that you can upload is 2MB. Enter the question in the 'Question' area.

In SmartWinnr, every question requires at least one category. Categories are pre-defined by your administrator. You can select one or more categories that best defines a question. The screenshot below shows the categories and the values of those categories selected.
Once you have filled in the required details of the question, click on the 'Save New Question' button in order to save the question.
How do the participants see the question?
Once you have created the Hotspot question and sent this question to the participants, this is how it will appear on their mobile app. They can click on the image. If they point out the area correctly, they have answered the question correctly.
